Idromeno International Film Festival is based in Shkoder (Albania). Since its beginning, its aim has been to emerge as a new voice that through cinematography can be a new way of looking at our contemporary world, both underlining its fractures and trying to find another way of thinking. Too much often we use to consider philosophy as a subject relegated to a metaphysical layer and far away from the real world in which our everyday life keeps flowing. Cinematography can do the magic and be the tipping point: through the story and the screen it shows these themes imbued into the scene, entangled in our routines and near us beyond all imagination. Stretching over 8 days, the festival would turn around the film competition, but it also aspires to be a cultural event involving Panel Discussions on the main theme and Idromeno Industrial section composed by masterclasses & workshop for those who aspire to be part of the film industry.
